If a provider is not familiar with this program, it is recommended that the patient print out a copy of the "Information Center" pages and the appropriate MyHealthScore.com benchmark rates. Then simply share this information with the provider or his/her business manager, and request their participation for the reasons shown above. This process must take place prior to treatment, otherwise the medical bill will reflect full billed charges. While it is easier not having to negotiate, it can be pleasantly surprising to find that the health care providers can accommodate your financial as well as your health care needs.
